Riccarton Rotary wants to supply and install a solar power system to help the Samoa Campus of Hope
Riccarton Rotary Club is joining with the Rotary Club of Apia (Samoa) to develop a project to provide solar power to the Samoa Campus of Hope, run by the Samoa Victim Support Group. This will be the subject of a Global Grant application to The Rotary Foundation. To get the necessary designs and costings for the Global Grant application, some money is required to pay professionals to develop those designs and provide the quotes, and Riccarton hopes to submit a District DDF application for fund matching to get the project underway. This is a really worthwhile project which will help the Campus by avoiding the payment of large electricity bills every month, money they have to fundraise for, in a country where the sun shines almost every day! If your club would like to support Riccarton by pledging some funds which would go towards the DDF application please contact the project sponsor DGN Sandra Isaacs (sandra.isaacs@riccartonrotary.org.nz). Thank you.
