Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp 2023
to be held in beautiful Queenstown
from 3pm Sunday 29th January - Friday 3rd February to 2pm

Is a ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARD for you?

  • Do you have a good, positive attitude and are you a team player?
  • Do you demonstrate a drive to succeed?
  • Are you between the ages of 20 and 30?
  • Do you want to gain new networks and connections with other like-minded adult leaders?
If you can answer yes to the above then the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA ) is the right platform to take you to the next level.  You will also make new connections and networks and have a lot of fun along the way.

RYLA is a 6 day live-in leadership development camp run by Rotary. The programme includes world class speakers, presentations, activities, and workshops covering a variety of topics, including:
  • communication skills
  • individual & team ledearship
  • problem-solving and conflict management
  • community and global citizenship
RYLA participants are sponsored by their local Rotary clubs, which often cover all expenses associated with the program.

You can also be sponsored by your place of work or industry you work within or a community group you associate with. Please ask your local Rotary representative for more information on corporate or industry sponsorship or email your enquiry to d9999rylaqt@gmail.com or phone Lee-Ann 021343506 .  You will still need a Rotary Club to endorse your application and help is available to find one if required.

If you are an employer and wish to sponsor someone within your business, please get in touch with your local Rotary representative or email d9999rylaqt@gmail.com or phone Lee-Ann on 021 343 506 for more information.

You can apply in one of two ways:

  • by completing the on-line RYLA Application form
  • by downloading an Application form and other associated paperwork and handing / posting the completed application form to your local Rotary representative or by emailing it to: d9999rylaqt@gmail.com
You will then be required to have a suitability interview.

Interviews need to be completed and application forms received by the RYLA District Committee before 1 December 2022. It is recommended that you begin the registration process before the end of November to ensure time for interviews and selection.

Late applications may be considered if there are spaces available. If you are late submitting your application, please email the RYLA District Committee directly at d9999rylaqt@gmail.com to check availability.

Successful Applicants will be notified of their acceptance within 10 working days of receipt of the candidate endorsement form from their sponsoring Rotary Club, or by December 24th 2022 at the latest.

Applications will only be considered for those with a residential address within New Zealand.
